Career Contribution
Every year, APEX, in partnership with the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA), presents a career award to an individual who is a current member of
the federal executive cadre. This executive is a leader in his or her field and through exemplary work over the course of his or her career, has brought recognition to the Canadian public service or to their department or agency. The successful candidate will have spent at least ten years in the federal public service, personifies the values of APEX as outlined in its Statement of Principles and provides an example for other members of the senior executive cadre.
While a ten-year public service tenure is required for this award, candidates do not have to be nearing retirement to be eligible. The APEX selection committee will focus on candidates, both specialists and generalists, who have exemplary reputations both within their organization, and nationally or internationally.
